Translate Timeline Widget Using WPML

Step-by-Step Translation Process

The Timeline Widget for Elementor is a versatile and highly customizable plugin for creating beautiful timelines on your WordPress site. To ensure that users across the globe can benefit from this widget, it’s essential to make it multilingual. WPML (WordPress Multilingual Plugin) offers a robust solution to translate the Timeline Widget for Elementor. This guide will walk you through the steps required to translate the plugin effectively.

Step 1: Create and Edit Your Timeline Widget

Create a new page or edit an existing one in the Elementor Editor. Add a Timeline Widget for Elementor and create new stories or steps. You can also edit existing stories or steps.

Step 2: Access Translation Options

To translate your page, go to:

  • Pages: Click on Edit option to edit the page you want to translate and select the language option.
  • WPML Translation Management: Click on Edit option to edit the page you want to translate and select the language option.
  • Alternatively, you can also translate your page by clicking on the Language Add button in the All Pages section.

Step 3: Translate Your Content

After selecting the language, you will be redirected to the WPML translation page. Here, you will see the page content, including the Timeline Widget for Elementor widget content and on the right side you will see a translate setting title name. You can translate your content:

  • Manually: Translate each content element one by one.
  • Automatically: Use WPML’s auto-translate feature.

Step 4: Complete Translation and Display Translated Content

Once you have completed the translation process, your Timeline widget translation is done. The translated page will display the translated content on the frontend.

Step 5: Verify Translations:

  • Review Translations on Frontend:

    • Visit your site’s frontend and switch languages to verify that the translations appear correctly.
  • Edit Translations if Needed:

    • If you notice any issues, return to WPML > String Translation or WPML > Translation Management to make necessary adjustments.
